We want to inform you that on February 20th Quito will be inaugurating the new Mariscal Sucre international airport (UIO) located 37km or 1 hour approximately from the city. The actual airport will close on Tuesday February 19th at 19h00, and the new one will open on Wednesday February 20th at 09h00, local time. For passengers flying these dates please reconfirm the flight itinerary, there are some airlines that changed their usual scheduled in Quito during the transition.
